See more on how I am qualified to help!

Your health and well-being is my mission in life.

I was trained by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and I am currently waiting to sit the exam to become a Board Certified Health Coach. I am also currently taking the IIN Hormone Health course to further help clients with menstrual migraines. I am always learning more to be the best coach I can be.

My approach

It’s rare for anyone to get an hour to explore their wellness goals at all, let alone with a trained professional.

As a Holistic Health Coach, I create a supportive environment that enables you to articulate and achieve your goals. Very seldom do our doctors get time to explore why we are getting these migraines.  We are lucky to get 15 minutes!  Those 15 minutes are usually spent deciding what medication is working and which new one should we try next.  While this is important, there is never a time to find out your WHY.

I would like to help you find your why so you can live a life of freedom from migraine.  That’s not saying they won’t pop up from time to time, but it is POSSIBLE to live with less pain and even possibly pain-free! Throughout my education, I have been exposed to the most cutting-edge dietary theories and studied highly effective coaching techniques to help you find the lifestyle that works best for you AND minimizes your migraines.

Most approaches prescribe a particular balance to healthy eating that dwells on calories, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, I coach my clients to find and isolate their food and environmental migraine triggers. We also explore basic lifestyle improvements and implement gradual changes during our work together to see lasting effects. These changes collectively create a much larger impact than originally anticipated. We work on what YOU want to improve within the circumstances of YOUR unique migraine situation.

I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories – Ayurveda, gluten-free, Paleo, raw, vegan, macrobiotics, and everything in between.

I studied with the world’s top health and wellness experts including:

  • Joshua Rosenthal, MScEd, founder and director of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition
  • Walter Willett, MD, DrPH, chair of nutrition at Harvard University
  • Andrew Weil, MD, director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine
  • Gabrielle Bernstein, bestselling author and life coach
  • Susan Blum, MD, MPH, assistant clinical professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine
  • Mark Hyman, MD, founder of The UltraWellness Center
  • Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating
  • David Wolfe, raw food leader and nutrition expert
  • Marion Nestle, PhD, MPH, professor at New York University’s Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health
  • Mark Bittman, food writer for The New York Times and bestselling author
  • Joel Fuhrman, MD,family physician and leading expert on nutritional healing

My education has equipped me with extensive, cutting-edge knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and prevention. Drawing on my expertise, I work with my clients to help make lifestyle changes and choose health-promoting ways that produce real and lasting results. You will develop a deeper understanding of food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and your migraines.  I hope to improve your energy, balance, health, and happiness.

Each session will leave you feeling inspired and motivated. We will talk about things beyond food, seeking to bring balance to important elements of your life such as love and relationships as well as career and money. I will personally and carefully guide you to make simple, small changes that transform your life.

What in the world is a health coach? I am like a cross between a nutrition coach and a life coach combining both aspects into one coaching session.

Question: Why a health coach like me and not a __________?

Nutritionists give you a list of foods to eat and a list of foods to avoid. Most people already know this, but they haven’t actually been able to do it.

Therapists don’t provide clear action steps or address food in relation to mood.

Doctors don’t generally have the time to address the root cause of the symptoms; their practices are just not set up for the time involved.

Health Coaches address the root cause and guide clients in holistic healing addressing all areas of life. Let me be the guide on your side as you figure out you!
